For the past seven decades, Temple Electric has been providing the Electrical Industry with deep inventory's to ensure we have what the customer needs, when they want it, with service that is second to none in our industry.

Delivery Driver personnel are responsible for pulling material, loading trucks by hand or with a fork lift, delivering product to customers, and picking up product from vendors. They always work safely and are friendly to all internal and external customers. Focus is on efficient and safe operations, while cultivating customer relationships and exceeding customer expectations of prompt delivery.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

· Drive a Temple Electric Supply truck while operating it safely and within compliance of all Temple rules, applicable laws, and state and federal regulations. Driver destinations include customers, vendors, and other NWS locations.

· Perform a truck pre-check inspection prior to any route deliveries. This should be done multiple times per day depending on how many routes are scheduled.

· Pull products from the warehouse to fulfill orders.

· Safely package and bundle loads for transport. Secure the loads to prevent shifting, damage, or falling of any product. Use proper tie down procedures to prevent movement of packages during the delivery process. Safely unload product at destinations.

· Pay proper attention to which items are to be delivered to which locations. Multiple orders will be placed on each truck route.

· Work with customers to quickly resolve any customer service issues including quantity or item discrepancies.

· Provide and maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.

· Perform other reasonably related duties and tasks as required by Management.

Work Environment

· This role requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment which may be heavy (50+ pounds).

· Typically, in a comfortable environment, but with regular exposure to a warehouse environment with factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in driving a commercial truck (26 foot flatbed, stakebed, or equivalent) and making deliveries.

· Must be 21 years old and possess a valid drivers’ license.

· Must understand the laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles.

· Able to safely operate any commercial motor vehicle that has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of up to 26,000 lbs.

· Able to stay calm and function in a stressful, unexpected, or emergency situation.

· Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.

· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and common fractions or decimals.

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual is a plus.

· Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

· Must pass pre-employment background screening.

· Verification of citizenship or work authorization status.

Job Summary

The Purchasing Agent will provide support to our electrical supply branches by researching products and manufacturers, evaluating costs, verifying quality, and providing delivery logistics. The main driving force for the agent is to ensure that inventory service level goals are met on a consistent basis at each branch.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Ordering inventory materials needed to stock each branch, focusing on direct-from-vendor products.
  • Place purchase orders for area branches.
  • Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain key relationships with our vendor partners.
  • Aid in resolving payable discrepancies.
  • Work within a team setting, managing a high volume of email requests.
  • Identify low-cost freight-saving options.
  • Manage product data files for items purchased from vendors (pricing, etc.).
  • Manage system settings governing purchase quantities to achieve company goals for inventory and service levels.
  • Work closely with individual locations to ensure purchasing related questions/issues are addressed.
  • Expedite purchase orders to meet customer needs.
  • Provide and maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties and tasks as required by Management.

Work Environment

  • This role requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment which may be heavy (25+ pounds).
  • Typically, in a comfortable office environment, but with potential exposure to a warehouse environment with factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes. Potential exposure to outdoor weather and with no climate control within the warehouse. The company may stock and sell hazardous materials such as pvc cement, chemicals, torch gas, solvents, propane gas, etc. You may periodically be around these materials as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least 1 year of prior electrical parts, supplies, or equipment purchasing experience.
  • Prior regional or multiple locations Purchasing or Buying experience in electrical distribution is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience using Epicor and/or Solar Eclipse ERP software system(s) is a major plus.
  • Strong computer proficiency and the ability to navigate multiple software systems is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and a team-centric mentality is required.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to juggle multiple, urgent requests.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate both internally and externally.
  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
